Swisscontact has as a result embarked on a journey to provide a platform for financial institutions and BDSPs to open a dialogue in order to promote access to finance for Small businesses across the board. this event was held on the 20 May 2009.
Our focus this year was “Access to finance in times of recession fact/ fiction “, and trust that you found this event informative as well as an opportunity to build new relationships.
We had SMEs, BDSP’s, financial institutions as well as government support agencies present and hope to increase our representation to include ALL role players in the industry at our next forum.
Swisscontact is the organization of the Swiss private sector for development cooperation. We are a politically and denominationally neutral organization founded in 1959 by personalities from the Swiss private business and university sectors. Swisscontact is a non-profit organization.
Our conviction is that it is the private sector that is the driver of economic growth and development. Therefore, Swisscontact works with its partner towards the improvement of the framework conditions of the private sector. Since 2003, our activities in South Africa focus on the promotion of small and medium enterprises through skills development, access to finance, access to markets and local economic development.
